Historic, Rustic-Elegant Property near Harper's Ferry, WV

Your celebration of life will be held at our historic property, Keep Tryst Manor, in Knoxville, Maryland. We are located just across the Shenandoah River from Harpers Ferry, WV.

Our property offers a wide choice of unique, natural ceremony settings. Enjoy our beautiful vintage barn for a private dinner after the ceremony, take in our stunning gardens as well as our bamboo forest chapel. We have room for dancing, live music, a vintage bar for cocktails, and many small, intimate seating areas for quiet chats and times of remembrance.

A gentle reminder - we do not allow bodies or caskets for the service. You may bring your loved one's ashes with you, and we can accommodate a Spreading of Ashes Ceremony.

Lisa is a wedding planner as well as the venue owner, and has been in the wedding business for over 10 years.

The Wedding Niche is one of those rare places that gets everything right. I have photographed multiple weddings here and every single experience has been exceptional. Lisa runs this place with a level of care that you can feel the moment you arrive. Couples are supported, vendors are supported, and the entire day flows in a way that feels calm and intentional. Every couple I have worked with here has had exactly what they needed. Nothing slips through the cracks. As a photographer, this property is a dream. There are so many different pockets to work with and each one feels like its own little world. Open fields, wooded paths, quiet corners near the manor house, warm indoor spaces, and spots with beautiful natural light that shift throughout the day. It never feels repetitive. You can shoot an entire gallery here without ever running out of inspiration. What I love most is the atmosphere. It is warm, welcoming, and filled with character. The couples who choose this place always seem to settle into the day with a sense of peace that is hard to find at larger venues. You can tell they feel taken care of. You can tell their experience matters. From a vendor perspective, working with Lisa is always smooth and professional. The wedding niche and Lisa (who was also our officiant and planner!) are absolutely wonderful! The venue itself has so much to offer! It’s beautiful, flexible, and it made for the most perfect day. We went with the all inclusive package and have zero regrets! Lisa was amazing to work with — super easy to talk to, easygoing, and genuinely cared about helping us create our day exactly how we wanted it. She set up all vendors and confirmed with them the week of, she gave honest opinions, offered great guidance, and always went along with any changes I made throughout the process. We got to personalize everything, from the ceremony script to all the little details, and she made it all come together flawlessly. Day of she handled setup, cleanup, and even packed up a car at the end of the night — everything ran so smoothly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Lisa brought my slightly made-up theme to life perfectly, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better day!
